About Keith

Keith Hartzell is a lifelong Ocean City, New Jersey resident, a retired manager from Von Drehle Corporation, and a respected local businessman. He has been a dedicated public servant and community leader since moving to Ocean City in 1986.

Keith has proudly served Ocean City as:

  • Councilman for 22 years, advocating independently for residents

  • Former President of Main Street Ocean City

  • Board member of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce and Business and Neighborhood Development (BAND) organization

  • Active member of Ocean City Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sons of the American Legion Post, and the Ocean City Exchange Club

Keith’s contributions to the community have been recognized with honors such as:

  • Ocean City Citizen of the Year (2005)

  • Martin Luther King Community Service Award (2007)

He is also the author of Nothing But Gratitude, reflecting his love for Ocean City and the people who have shaped his life, including his parents, Paul and June Hartzell, who were devoted Ocean City residents.
